Dear Beacon Hill Residents and Family Members,
We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our Beacon Hill community. We learned Wednesday, November 4th, that one of our independent living residents tested positive for the virus. By way of recap, we have two total active independent living resident cases of the virus; one is self-isolating in their home and one is being cared for at the hospital.
We also learned that there is one team member case of the virus; they are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
We understand that you have concerns about the current COVID-19 status in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
As a reminder, Lifespace and Beacon Hill are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are also encouraged to practice social distancing, and we ask that you wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Continued attention to proper hand hygiene, including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is essential to preventing the spread of the virus. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
